Most of the commercial organisations are now going for LED glow sign boards due to its low power consumption and long life. A study on the advantages of LED boards is furnished here below.
They consume less energy. Power consumption is about 16% power in comparison to incandescent lamps and 25% power in comparison to fluorescent tube.
LEDs are warranted from 24 to 60 months though the manufacturers assure that the life could be more than 100,000 hours. On an average of 6 hours a day, a commercial sign board would be consuming around 10000hours in the life span of 5 years. Thus with the available technical inputs, we could foresee that these LEDs would perform well beyond the warranted period of 5 years. The long life drastically reduces labour and maintenance cost.
The light and the appearance are consistent.

The maintenance cost is low in replacing the fused tube lights.
